and would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of so many committed parishioners and friends of Saint Sophia. Special thanks to the members of the Festival organizing committee who led the many booths and activities available to our Festival guests. THANK YOU!

St. Sophia Scholarships

The 2025 St. Sophia Scholarship applications are now available. There are two applications, with cover letter. One for graduating high school seniors and one for college students.

When downloading an application and cover letter, please send an e-mail to Georgia Melas at melaspg@gmail.com containing your name, your parents’ names, and contact information for both of you. If you have any questions, please call or text her at (518) 253-1625. Please download the appropriate application and complete. Once completed please attach the supporting documentation and return to the church office in a sealed envelope marked Scholarship Committee.

Note: Each family of a scholarship applicant must be members in good standing at St. Sophia Greek Ortho­dox Church in Albany in accordance with the bylaws, for two consecutive years immediately preceding the submis­sion of an application.

Please note that the application requires Fr. Pat's signature. Please be considerate of his schedule and allow him time to review. The deadline is July 5, 2025.
